APRIL: "The April Fools" (4:07)
lyrics and music by Josh Spurling
I showed up dressed in half-gallons of dreams. He met me at
the door. I was painted neon green because they could take
no more. I build my little Lego cars out of things that I
find. A little bit stronger, a little bit better. It echoed
through his mind, and we laugh.
The Elephant settled on their tongues, but I'm sure what
they tasted was fear. A joke inside of a joke, all wrapped
up in a tear. The crazy men took my friends away because
they heard my friends were sane. But when the tears were
shed, I had fled. I sat at home and laughed alone.
